Beauty and Cosmetology

Making others look and feel beautiful is an occupation and skill that reaps rewards on a daily basis. The definition of beauty, however, changes on a daily basis as well, which means you are in a field that is ever-changing and are always learning. Picking the perfect school to help build the foundation for your career and give you the skills you need to be successful is important. Once you have the foundation, you will be able to easily learn the new additions when they come. A degree for most beauty professions can be achieved in two years or less as a state license is often the only requirement to begin practicing your profession. However, you may choose to get a college degree such as business if you plan on owning your own spa or salon or a fashion degree to make up the whole person rather than just the nails, hair or face.
